So it begins...

Welcome, everybody, to the official source of news and entertainment for the Republic of Korea Ultimate League, WATCH THE SKIES!

It is our hope that this blog will be a place where our players can come often for updates and information about the sport of ultimate in general and our league in particular. It's our goal to feature interesting articles on our teams and players, reviews of the previous weekend's games, predictions for our upcoming games, how-to pieces, ultimate-related news, opinion columns, rants, raves, and heckling.

We want this to be a place where people share their enthusiasm, get hyped up for the next game, and connect with their friends/enemies/frienemies/rivals. Where new ultimate memes will be born. Where the loudest, most strident of us can be heard across the internet, and the softer-spoken folks can tell them to put their money where their mouth is.

The geographic decentralization of our league has made it hard in the past for everybody to get to know everybody, and we think that's a real shame. It's a widely known scientific fact that ultimate players are the best people that our planet has to offer. Our teams and our local ultimate communities have become our families. It's time to expand that family again.

We here at WATCH THE SKIES will do the hard stuff, all that we ask from y'all is participation. A community needs people. If you have something you'd like to share, information you're curious about, hints or tips relating to frisbee in any way, or just something you think this rad bunch ought to know, then shoot us a message on facebook or e-mail. We should have contact info up shortly. Player-generated content is the goal for this site.

Also, expect this blog to go through some changes. We're in beta right now. We want feedback from you (in addition to content). We imagine that this space will continue to evolve for some time. For now, stop by and leave a comment. Let us know what you want to see, and let us know how we're doing.

On the technical side, the people in charge of this space could use some experienced talent. If you have experience with web design or graphic design, let us know, because we don't. We strive to make this the best possible experience for all involved.

Ultimately (heh), it is the goal of this website to augment your enjoyment of our wonderful sport. To us, nothing is better than bringing people together, and we've found that ultimate is the best way to do it.

This is the 2012 Fall League season. Let the shenanigans begin!
